This series is sold as a package only, that includes all seven races. No individual date entries will be accepted You must be an ACA Annual Member to participate.

DIRECTIONS
(I-25 to I-225, I-225 to Yosemite, at top of ramp, turn right (south) to Union (Cherry Creek HS), Left (east) on Union to Dayton, turn right (south) park entrance is on left. At guard booth, tell the attendant that you are with the bike race (you will not be charged. They charge ACA). Take the first left after guardhouse and park at Hobie
Hill or Marina.

Please use this entrance. It is illegal to park on shoulder of road or on grass. If you fail to follow parking marshals instructions you will be ticketed and possibly towed. If in doubt, park outside of the park and ride in. Finishing your race to find that your illegally parked car has been towed is not fun!!

  • Pick one category and remain in it for entire series

* RETRO= NO TT equipment. Anything more than a shallow section radial laced wheel is TT gear. This includes aero bars, deep section wheels (28mm or deeper), disks, aero helmets, and flat tube frames. Skin suits and shoe covers are allowed. The Chief Referee will settle any disputes regarding the use of TT equipment for retro categories.

STARTS

Starts will be at 20 second intervals. Don?t be late as there is very little time allowance for late starts. Tandems will be started in such a way as to not interfere with riders in front or back of them

COURSE

The course is a rolling- approximately 10 mile, out and back design that is completely open to traffic. STRICT ADHERENCE TO THE CENTERLINE RULE SHALL BE ENFORCED. Please stay to the right even in turns

NEW FINISH LINE

Located in the bike lane of the upper parking lot at the West Shades area. Finish line will be strategically placed to keep course records intact.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

* Online at RecordRacer.com. Registration opens at 3am on March 3rd. You can go to RecordRacer starting Feb 23rd to create a login and enter all of your personal information. This DOES NOT register you for the series. You must login after 3am on March 3rd, pick an available start time and pay for series in order to be registered. You are not registered until your credit card has been charged AND you receive a confirmation e-mail.

Teams may register as a group by designating a single contact person who enters all the information for each member prior to 3 am on March 3rd. At that time, they can login, select the number of riders they wish to register, select the first riders start time and then pay for all members at one time. Teams that are ACA clubs will be acknowledged, teams that are not will not be listed in the results unless each rider has paid the non-ACA club fee during each their license purchase.

* Individual - $165.00 for the "7-pack" * Tandems - $250 for the "7-pack"
* If riding individually and also on a tandem the fee will be $250.00 * Member of Juniors Ride Free Program

The entry fee includes an insurance surcharge fee of $2.39 per rider per day, an Operational Surcharge of $1.00 per rider per day and a park entrance fee of $2.30 per rider per day.

REMEMBER: All participants must be a 2009 ACA Annual Member. No refunds will be given.


NUMBERS

You will be issued one number for the entire series. You should pick up your number from one of four different locations:

  1. 3/31, P/U at Green Mountain Sports, 2950 So. Bear Creek Blvd, Lakewood, 5-7 PM
  2. 4/02, P/U at Turin Bicycles 700 Lincoln St, Denver, 5-7PM
  3. 4/04, P/U at Adventure Cycling, 4361 So Parker Rd, Aurora, 2-5 PM
  4. 4/08, P/U at at race site from 5-6 PM each race except #1 when number p/u will be from 4-6:30PM Don?t arrive late and miss your start.

You must sign a release at number pick up prior to receiving your number. Individuals must be present to sign their release at number pick-up OR a designated representative can have a signed release AND the released rider?s license to pick up a number that is not their own. Your racing number is nontransferable to anyone else.


START TIMES

  • You will pick your start time when you register at RecordRacer.com, plan to register early for best selection.
  • Team registrations will be spaced at least 40 seconds apart.
  • No juniors, 16 and under, will start after 6:00, due to possible darkness.

INCLEMENT WEATHER

  • The races will be held rain or shine, sun or snow
  • If weather conditions create a safety hazard, an event may be cancelled by the Chief Referee and the race organizer. The cancellation of an event will not result in the race being re-scheduled at a later date as there are no later dates.
  • No refunds are given for cancellations due to circumstances out of the organizers control.
  • Whether a race is cancelled is usually not determined until after 3:00 of each race date.
  • The ACA Race Hotline (ACA office number), 303-458-5538, will leave a recorded message if an event is cancelled, again around 3:00 PM. If no notice of cancellation, the event is on for that evening
  • In the event of course problems, the organizer will provide a modified course, around 5 miles in length (as in flooding or construction)

RESULTS

  • Will be posted at RecordRacer.com and ACA website

AWARDS/PRIZES

  • If there are 10 or more entrants in a category, there will be medals for the top three in that category.
  • Adventure cycling is sponsoring numbers this year. Visit John Barvik?s shop at Quincy and Parker Road, at the eastern edge of Cherry Creek State Park
